We get many inquiries about electric/motorized bikes and there is a lot of misinformation out there. We aim to clarify that.
There are two different types of electric bikes (ebikes) in the market. They are full assist and pedal assist. Full assist ebikes have some sort of throttle and operate more like a moped than a bike. You can pedal when you want or you can let the motor do all of the work. Pedal assist ebikes require that you pedal for the motor to engage. If the user is not pedalling, the motor does not work. Pedal assist bikes help make your life easier by allowing you to go faster and further with less effort.
Electric bikes amplify your pedaling power and your ability to do and see more. Trek and Electra e-bikes make more possible. They're quick and smooth, with predictable, easy-to-control power and a long-lasting removable battery that recharges at any household outlet. Expected range of an e-bike is typically between 40-60 miles per charge.
If you enjoy biking and want to be able to ride more and with not have the worry of being to tired to make the entire trip, an electric bike may be just what you need. Come and check them out and Bike Shop. Take a test ride before June 24th and get a scratch off that can get you up to $500 off any e-bike purchase. Every scratch off is a winner so come by before it ends!
