The city of Sebring is the county seat of Highland County. It is nicknamed the "City on the Circle" because of the Circle Drive in the Sebring Downtown Historic District. The city was named after the pottery manufacturer from Ohio, George Sebring. Founded in 1912, it was officially incorporated in 1913 and was selected as the county seat in 1921.
Sebring is a growing city with a mix of small businesses and larger franchises. There are numerous shopping and dining options while still holding on to a small town feel. Sebring is home to the Sebring International Raceway which attracts visitors from all over during the 12 hours of Sebring. The city has multiple lakes great for water sports and a relaxing day of boating and fishing including Lake Jackson, Little Lake Jackson and Lake Sebring.
Sebring is in Highlands County and located on HWY 27.
